Diepiriye Sungumote Kuku-Siemons

Diepiriye is a New Delhi based Nigerian-American Sociologist and writer who has an unusually expressed affinity to discover and make visible inequality in society. Diepiriye looks beyond beaten paths and explores the deeply connected and underlying consequences of social affiliation and resistance. He emphasizes difference and does not compare; he speaks about opportunities for a variety of groups rather than multiplying the already established facts of deprivation. Diepiriye is encouraging, as he presents society with a holistic view of social establishment. His systematically critical investigations on mainstream culture enable people to actively perceive the other parts of society and thus enhance the reader’s perception of their existence.
