Niina Kuorikoski is a post-graduate student at the Department of English, University of Oulu, Finland and works as a full-time lecturer in Women’s Studies at the same university. She wrote her master’s thesis on Queer as Folk’s two versions and their lesbian representation. Currently, she is writing her licentiate thesis on The L Word from the perspective of both content and Finnish lesbian, bisexual and queer audiences. She has published articles on Queer as Folk, The L Word, Six Feet Under and CSI: Miami, among other topics, in both Finnish and international journals. She can be reached at niina.kuorikoski@oulu.fi.
