Urszula Nowak is a PhD student in Sociology at the Institute of Sociology of the Jagiellonian University. She holds MA in International Relations at UJ. Interested in studies on civil society and public sphere. In her PhD thesis she is focusing on the problem of presence of religion in the public sphere of contemporary Poland. Her master thesis, still to be proceeded in the sociology field, is based on critical analysis of public discourse regarding homosexuality and homosexual people as related to the first March for Tolerance in Krakow, 2004.
